We're happy to announce our last calendar show of this year: OMT (Occupy MouseTrap) - Friday, December 9th. We'll be bringing our 99% original music to the 'Trap. If you can't make the show, no worries. We're currently booking for 2012, so you'll be able to catch us live in the not-so-distant future. However, we're really looking to get everyone together to celebrate the holidays. We've got some new tunes to show off! With plans to hit the studio in early 2012, we're ready to show you what we've got up our collective sleeves. Time to give it back to the 1% haters. Here's looking to see you there!
Every year at the end of August, Shadyside performs with a slew of local musicians (Indianapolis, Chicago & Louisville) at a benefit called Kammy's Kause. For those of you unfamiliar with Kammy's Kause, it is a free, 2-day music festival held on August 27th & 28th, 2010 dedicated to raising money and awareness for the rare chromosome disorder 4p- (aka Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome, WHS). In more techincal terms, it is caused by the partial deletion of the short (p) arm of chromosome 4. Please visit the Wolf-Hirschhorn site for more technical information about the syndrome.
Dear to our hearts is Kamdyn (Kammy) Hiner, daughter of Jared Hiner (Original State of Mind) and the reason for creating this benefit. She was diagnosed with 4p- in January of 2002. With only 600 +/- cases known of in the world and around only 150 in the United States, research is limited for this rare disorder. Therefore, with Jared's vision and the work of so many wonderful people, this festival has helped raise a tremendous amount of money for the 4p- Support Group. This fundraising directly assists the the program in supporting the other families that have a 4p- child. We urge you to read Kammy's Kause Letter Of Intent to learn how truly important this event is to the families affected by 4p- (WHS). You'll be happy to know this particular fundraiser is the largest 4p- contributor to date!
Because of this effort, the bi-annual conference for 4p- (WHS) will be hosted in Indianapolis in 2012. We are calling out to any and all whom can spare time, money and support. If you can't make it at the end of this month, please support any way you can. You can donate via the "Chip-In" widget as created by Kammy's Kause for online donations. $2, $10, $100, whatever you can spare. We're a bit saddened by the drastic change in weather, but this time of year always gives us the chance to regroup and start writing new material. We're currently working on four new tracks, one of which is complete. It appears studio time will be coming in the New Year along with much more traveling and performing.

Every year we sit down with Big D and wax the subject of what Shadyside is currently up to or what future plans we've got in the mix. After yesterday's fiasco of getting out trailer picked up, loaded and fianlly out of town, we drove straight ti Cincy on a mission of sorts. Squirt Jones was at the helm and Blair, Will, Aaron and Chris were left to annoy him the entire way. Whether it be flatulence or dim-witted chicanery, Squirt has to put up with it all.
We arrived safe and sound at Stanley's Pub, meeting our cohorts for the evening, The Bones Dupree Band. They're an energetic four-piece rom the Cincy area and know how to play some damn fine music. Look forward to working with them again.

What's shakin'?!
We're happy to announcing this year's time slot for Summer Camp. We'll be appearing on the Campfire Stage at 11am on Saturday, May 23rd. There will be much advertising about Breakfast with Shadyside on Friday afternoon through the wee hours of Saturday. Keep your eyes peeled for the bananas. We'll be ready to rock the set with our strooners all morning long.

What's the haps on the craps? Oh, not much going on here...just our CD RELEASE PARTY AT THE MOUSETRAP TONIGHT!!!
So here's the deal, yo. Tonight we are releasing our newest self-titled studio project, Shadyside Allstars. We are extending an invitation for you to celebrate with us at the Mousetrap. Recorded at Big Walnut Studios by engineer Chris Dobbs, the project contains nine of our most beloved songs. The project has been receiving great reviews thus far. We'd be grateful to have your reviews as well.
In conjunction with the new project, we have also included new merchandise for the celebration. Tonight only, we're offering a discount deal on the purchase of a merchandise package.
